Running

Three running blogs that I like

There are lots of running blogs out there.  When I first decided to learn to run, I read lots and lots of them and they were helpful.  Reading the blogs helped me get motivated to run, taught me what things I need to do before running (buy a good bra, get fitted for shoes, etc) and generally learn how to train for a 5k.

I’ve continued to read some of the blogs and I’ve also found some new ones, so I thought I would share three of my favorite blogs and tell you why I like them.

http://www.teamwilsun.com/  The Adventures of Team Wil-Sun   I’ve read this blog from start to finish.  I still enjoy reading this blog.   Sunny used to run lots of half-marathons and she also ran lots of Disney races.  Since I was originally training for the Tinker Bell 10k – her blog was very motivating.  Sunny stopped running for awhile while life happened and then she trained to hike Mt Kilimanjaro with her partner Wil.  She and Wil are now running again, using a C25K app to train.  She has lots of great photos and I just enjoy her writing style.

http://www.annatheapple.com/  Anna the Apple     Anna lives in the UK and is a younger runner, which means that I will likely NEVER run as fast as she does.   Her blog accounts for her running but also has quite a bit about the different areas of the UK where she runs along with accounts of what she eats!  I like this blog because it is focused on running in the UK and its different than the US.

http://eatprayrundc.com/  Courtney runs in the DC area and her blog is always interesting.  She is running marathons so is very accomplished and her blog has given me ideas of what to wear, buy, etc.  Its always different and she’s been hosting “A year of running” blog post for several years now.  It is always fun to go to her blog and she what she’s done in the past year, and she links to other bloggers too!
