My sister just sent me an email. Here’s what she wrote, but I’ve redacted our names…
Subj: Why is your name listed on the Tinkerbell Weekend 10k list?!!!
Are you doing it? I went to try and see if I could figure out what my bib number was and put in [LastName] then I saw [yourName] from Houston is doing the 10K! I hope that’s you. That would be really cool!

I just about had a heart attack when I saw this email. I’ve been keeping this secret about running the 10k from my sister since late October and my sister finds out 2 DAYS before I’m going to tell her? Is my surprise ruined?
So I sent her an answer… “That’s too funny! I know there’s at least one other [my name] in Houston — she’s a Caterer. I wonder if she is running… That’s what we get for having such a common name. [We’re] everywhere.”
So far I haven’t heard back from her. I don’t know if she believed me or she’s disappointed or what.
