15 Nov 2015: Week 4 of Zombies 5k and big news

I’m getting through the workouts and clocked over 9 miles this week.  But my pace is getting slower.  Sunday’s run was over 16 min/mi.  I was tired and lethargic.  Maybe I’m just not eating the right foods before I run or maybe I need to watch what I drink & eat on Saturday night.   My Tues/Thurs/Sun workouts are starting to become a habit but I’m feeling the pain.  My joints are sore and I need to stretch more.  On the positive side, though, I’ve made it past the point where I quit the past 2 times that I started the Zombies 5k app.

I’ve decided to join my sister at Disneyland in May for her 10k!  I’ve signed up through her travel agent, Acclaim Travel, to run the 10k during the Tinker Bell half-marathon weekend.  I hope I’m not crazy!!   But get this….it’s a secret (hence the blog name, Covert Runner).   My hubby and I had already promised to come cheer my sister on during her Tinker Bell Challenge (the 10k followed by a half-marathon the following day – it’s called the Pixie Dust challenge).  SO — now I’ll just join her on the 10k!
