13 Feb 2015: Still coughing….but starting to feel better

It’s been 2 weeks since my cold showed up and I’m still hacking and coughing.  UGGHH…  Today’s workout at the running clinic was a speed workout.  We teamed up in 3s and then ran laps at the park.  I definitely ran faster than normal, which was the point…but my breathing is definitely not back to normal yet.  I’m still a little wheezy and just when I think that my cold is gone, it reappears.   I haven’t run a full 3 miles in any workout since the ChocoLoco.   Fingers crossed that I’ll be back in shape soon.   It’s 3 weeks until the next 5k – the Race Against Violence. I’m not sure yet what my goal will be – but it will either be to “run” the entire time OR beat my best time.  But I have some time to make up my mind.
